As an individual you can make valuable contributions to sustainability by reducing your carbon footprint. Small changes can have big impacts.
Here are ways you can make a difference
Shop local: eating meat and seasonal fruit, vegetables from local sources will reduce the need for 'food miles' and keep money in the local economy. Move to a more plant based diet.
Reduce your consumption; avoid waste: buy good quality items and clothing to last longer: swap clothing or buy second hand.
Try to use less energy: make sure your home is as efficient as possible: use suppliers that use renewable energy.
Avoid using a car as much as possible: use public transport: even better, for short journeys, walk. Give up flying!
Divest your pension funds and savings: from fossil fuel investments.
Importantly: get involved in discussions and talking to others about the impact of climate change. Share tips and ideas.
